Sea and beaches in Caorle
Caorle offers 18 kilometers of beautiful beaches with fine golden sand. The sea is clean and clear with only a slightly descending seabed. The beaches offer a variety of activities for children and adults, suitably equipped for various needs (beach bars, stalls, playgrounds for children, volleyball and
pétanque courts, water sports equipment rentals, of course there are toilets, showers or first aid). Caorle also thinks of people with reduced mobility, including the provision of platforms or rental cars specially adapted for movement in the sand.
Caorle can also be proud of his strong care for ecology. The beaches are clean and they are cleaned daily, all waste is recycled and the industry in the area is significantly reduced, which could endanger the cleanliness of the environment. For this effort, Caorle is awarded the Blue Flag every year – an award for the cleanliness of beaches and compliance with environmental standards. The beaches of Caorle can also display the Green Flag, which is awarded by pediatricians with regard to the quality of the water and its gradual entry into the sea, the equipment of playgrounds, the provision of first aid, play and sports areas and dining options nearby.
Ponente and Levante beaches
Of the total 18 kilometers of beaches, approximately 4 kilometers are in the historic center of Caorle. They divide the Church of Our Lady of the Angels into two beaches – eastern Levante and western Ponente. Along both beaches there is a long promenade full of shops, bars and restaurants.
Levante beach is 2,7km long and is slightly larger than Ponente beach. Levante beach is especially suitable for families with children or for seniors, thanks to the gradual entry into the sea and the shallow sandy bottom. You can hide from the sun and heat in several green oases with palm trees and Mediterranean vegetation. The White Oasis VIP sector is now newly offered on the beach, with luxurious white gazebos equipped with sun loungers and a table with chairs, which ensure plenty of privacy. During the season, beach bars are open from morning until evening and there are often various festivities, competitions or beautiful fireworks.
In the west you will find Ponente Beach 1,8km long. It leads from the historic center to firth of the river Livenza, you will not find so many green nooks, but there are more frequent floating platforms at sea. And at the end of the beach (towards the port) there is a part of the beach for your four-legged pets. Both beaches are relatively wide (from 80 to 300 meters) and offer both the possibility of renting umbrellas with sunbeds and at the same time enough space for a public, freely accessible beach. They are located on Levante Beach, between the Church of Our Lady and the L1 sector, and between Bau and Porto Falconera Beaches. On Ponente beach, then between sectors P14 and P15 and between sector P15 and firth of the river Livenza.
